The band has a wide repertoire of music suitable for many occasions including; Concerts, Fetes, Weddings, Themed Evenings, Bandstands, Christmas Carols and other similar events. One of the bands specialities is a Bavarian themed concert, normally containing a musical quiz. The band also has experienced buglers who are able to play the last post at remembrance services or funerals.
If you require a small group of players, the band also has a six-piece ensemble, consisting of a cornets, 2 tenor horns, a euphonium, a trombone and a tuba, who will consider all events. Ideal when space is limited.
The band generally operates within a 15 mile radius of Portsmouth, but considers events further away if travelling expenses are covered.
All proceeds from events go into the band’s fund, used to refurbish instruments, buy more music etc.
Our 2008 hiring rates are from £165 depending upon the type of event, although shared risk concerts are possible. Charity events are also considered.
